Project Proposal “Web Based Cold Store Monitoring System”

ABSTRACT

The project entitled “Web Based Cold Store Monitoring System” can be used to measure, record and display the necessary data reading from the sensor. We use sensor to measure the physical variable, as it converts the physical form into electrical signal. The electrical signal obtaining from the sensor output must be converted into the eight bit digital form by using inbuilt ADC of the microcontroller. And as our project is microcontroller based, the control actions are performed from this including analog to digital conversion, displaying the current data in LCD and further the stored data are serial communication to the PC performs the analysis and recording of data.

To make the objective we use microcontroller as the central component to perform all the necessary action and further we can easily program these microcontroller to perform the necessary action according or need.The program can be written assembly as well as high level language like C.We particularly use microcontroller is ATmega32.The input section comprised of multiple sensors like temperature sensor and humidity sensor connected to the input port of microcontroller.The sensor are scanned automatically by the microcontroller program.the scanned data are stored on computers data based.These scanned data are immediately displayed on LCD connected with microcontroller.

The hardware section includes input section,processing section,storage section and output section.The software part include designing and developing program.

Our system mainly consists of two parts: sensor interface part and query up loader in sense software with networking and hardware. Hardware part consists of sensors (humidity, temperature and radiation) interface with microcontroller.

In software part the computer stores the data with certain interval of time that are received from the microcontroller and data logger uploads the data to web and authorized person can monitor the uploaded data by an authorized login from anywhere in the world.

This project is designed to develop a web based cold store monitoring system. It is used to display the different parameters given by the sensors to the authorized person through web and can be monitored from anywhere as desired. Web based monitoring on cold store can be used in agriculture sector for monitoring the different parameters like temperature, humidity, radiation etc. on the stores and proper control can be made on the store for the better production by the authorized and knowledgeable person from anywhere through web. The parameters are taken by the different sensors and interfaced to the computer through microcontroller and transmitted through web.
