ABSTRACT
“ Flood Monitoring System" is the title of our project. It is a micro~controller based project which measures level of water and its velocity continuously and is sent to the monitoring station where it is recorded, evaluated and made available in internet.
Water level is measured using ultrasound and velocity of
water flow is measured constructing electromagnetic flow meter. ATMEGA32 has
been used as a micro~controller to calculate
height and velocity of water flow and the datas are sent wirelessly to the
remote station using RF modules. Monitoring station is fully responsible for
alarming incase it detects possible occurrence of flood and informing concerned
department.
